General Conduct
At United Methodist University - Sierra Leone (UMU-SL), students are expected to uphold the highest standards of integrity, discipline, and professionalism in all aspects of university life.

Any student who is found under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs commits an offense and is liable, upon being found guilty to disciplinary action following due process of investigation by a Discipline Committee.

A student disobeying lawful instruction, trespassing, disrespecting lawful authority, shall be guilty of an offense that calls for disciplinary action. A student who is found guilty shall be reprimanded, suspended, or rusticated depending on the nature and gravity of the offence.

Any student involved in fighting, inciting violence, use of vulgar or offensive language or indulging in any violent behavior towards any member of the University or the public will face the disciplinary committee and liable to be suspended or dismissed if found guilty. Students found guilty shall have the right of appeal.

Students shall not litter the University premises, but dispose of garbage in the garbage bin provided in designated areas. The Campus must be kept clean at all times.

The University does not prescribe student uniform; however, all students will be required to dress appropriately and modestly at all times.

No student will be allowed to put up any road-blocks obstructing entry to the campus, or organise demonstrations or participate in demonstrations, unless when given permission to do so.
