The United Methodist University (UMU) – Sierra Leone is a Private Christian University open to people of all faiths, with two campuses in Freetown.

The UMU is accredited by the Tertiary Education Commission (TEC) and its related programmes by the National Council for Technical, Vocational and Other Academic Awards (NCTVA).

Two Campuses in Freetown

The UMU has two campuses in Freetown. The Leicester Peak campus, situated at the highest peak of Freetown and The Siaka Stevens Campus, situated on King Harman Road at the old presidential lodge.

Programmes

Three faculties/schools in the United Methodist University, the School of Theology and Christian Ministries, the Faculty of Transformative Education, and the Faculty of Business and Entrepreneurial Studies, offer a variety of programmes leading to the award of degrees, diplomas and certificates.
These programmes are full time and of three or four years duration. The delivery mode consists of lectures, supervised dissertations and practicals. In addition to the formal delivery mode, there is a non-formal adult and continuing education mode for an outreach intervention.
